Ready, set…

The time has come to start working on this one; the frame has come from Bassel and is looking great. The engine has been fixed and balanced by our good friends at Yamaha Center. During the coming week updates will be frequent, expect to see the whole process detailed 🙂

Oily forks

A special for the yellow AS3, a brand new front fork assembly. They’re packaged drenched in oil to make sure they won’t rust while in storage. This is the first time since it was made in 1970 that this one is out in the air.

Engine

Before sending the engine off to Yamaha Center, I had to remove the carburetors and the pistons, so I thought I”d make a special of it.? In the pictures you can see the? entire process from start to finish.

Parts!

There’s not that much that can be said about the dis-assembly, apart from some oil it all went smoothly though there were some creative solutions to problems 🙂 But now it’s in pieces and the frame has been sent to get sandblasted and repainted.
