Hello. There is a club for the old Yamaha strokers. Check out the Aircooled RD Club. Based in the UK we have over 400 members with some in the USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa. You can find pix from the 2009 and 2010 club rallies on Facebook - search Derek Freegard and look in my photo album. We do a quarterly magazine as well. Del

Hi guys:
I just found your website. Yas1-c after years in storage. My problem in first of all the clutch cable broke from the clutch not willing to be depressed. I opened the points side case to change the clutch cable and tried to push in the clutch rod by pressing it with some tool but with no success. Its seems to be stuck or maybe damaged in some way inside? Unknown. Do you know if this can happen from being stored so long? Can

Hello new friends: All who love these classic bikes. I am restoring four. One yas1-c, two L5's and one yl2-c. What a project and looking for many parts and advice as maybe we all are. Anyone with some knowledge of problems with some of them. As for me first a stuck clutch on the yas1-c. Broke a clutch cable end and can't push in the clutch rod either. Look forward to reading all comments on this great website. Thanks to all. Steve

My first bike was a CS5E, when I was 17. I've just bought another aged 49! Not complete, so have a long list of parts to buy. I hope one day it'll look like the one you've got.
