Well, we’ve gotten a bit further on this project as well, unfortunately we’re once again stuck waiting for parts of the engine. We put the fuel tank and seat in place just to see how it would look.
At last we’ve got the engine for the AS3 ‘Titan’ ready so the project can continue, you can check out the latest progress in the project! There is nothing more holding that project up now so hopefully everything will go smoothly.
We’ve also had a bit of luck: we have managed to get our hands on 38 NOS checkerflag emblems! We had completely run out of original checkerflags before we found this batch. Even though finds like these are getting rarer, good things are still out there hidden away in storage.
On top of that we”ve received a whole bunch of pictures from our friend Robson in Brazil from a classic motorcycle meet in Rio de Janeiro: sunny weather and shiny bikes!
At last the engine is done! All parts in the engine are NOS, even the sides of the engine block and the crankshaft are NOS and have been fully balanced. As soon as we got the engine we could continue with the rest of the bike. We’ve gathered all the parts needed to complete the bike apart from the fuel tank so hopefully we’ll make some good progress.
We're a site dedicated to the collection and restoration of vintage motorcycles, especially Yamaha's light models from the late 60's early 70's. Our focus is on the AS1, AS2 and AS3 models.
