Going away

Hello everyone!

Most of this week has been spent sorting more parts over at the warehouse/showroom, it takes a lot of effort but it will be a time saver in the end. We have two quick updates aswell, one on the orange AS2C and one on the second blue AS2J.

Now for the more important news; tomorrow us at yamaparts will go on a two week holiday so this is the last update for that time. We’ll be back in the middle of July!

Fender

The front fender came for the orange AS2C, unfortunately we’re still missing the clasps to mount the fender and frame together so no gallery of the bike just yet.

Reasons

Hello everyone!

As you may have seen the updates have been further apart than usual, well not you’ll finally get to see the reason! The first part of the Yamaparts showroom/warehouse is done! All the parts that we use for restorations are too much to keep stored at different places and too difficult to organise, the solution will be to organise them in one place, that way we’ll be able to restore bikes even better :)

As the last few things are completed we will start moving the bikes there one by one. The room on the other side of the door is what will become the main showroom once all the remaining pigsties in there have been cleared.

There are also three build updates tonight, all of them orange. The orange AS2C is on the floor, just waiting for the front fender, expect a gallery shortly. The two AS2Js from Germany will both become orange, we’ve dubbed them Orange1 and Orange2, you can see their disassembly in the respective projects.

Until next time!

Break it Down

This AS2J will become orange just like the other one. During the deconstruction it there was a bit of an accident, the left cylinder wasn’t firing the way it should so it had leaked a lot of oil and petrol into the exhaust. Now if you remember this and you take proper precautions it’s alright, if you don’t it’s a mess…

It ruined one of the carpets completely, unfortunately no pictures.
