Merry christmas from us at Yamaparts!
A fun thing happened today: we found the original tags for the newly restored AS2J, the ones that came with it from the factory in Japan! We’ve also recieved a new load of parts from roffes motor, they’ve been stored cool and dry since they arrived from the factory so they’re in great shape.
It is drawing close to christmas, until then we’re as busy as everyone this time of year but, you can expect to see a lot of project updates and perhaps even some finished bikes during the holiday so keep your eyes peeled.
Until next time!
Tonight we’ve got a brand new gallery for you, the pictures of the second blue AS2J are done and can be seen in the museum here. The project can still be found under completed projects.
We’ve got a quick update tonight with a bit of a bonus. There”s a new update on the first orange AS2J, the engine is in place now and it can stand on its own.
When you bought kits with all the seals for Yamaha bikes of the time, a lot of them came from Noboru Packing Co. The guy on them does not look amused, beware of imitations!
We’ve continued working on the first of the orange AS2Js, although we haven’t come very far yet. At least the engine is on and the front wheel is temporarily there, now it can stand on it’s own.
